Greater Moncton MS Walk

Description: Despite cooler weather conditions, more than 300 individuals were happy to participate in the annual Moncton Multiple Sclerosis Walk in support of the MS Society, which began and finished at the Chocolate River Station in Riverview. Walkers had their choice of either 2.5kms or 5kms distances to walk/run or roll along the riverfront for the cause. Our local event was one of over 13 locations hosting an event for MS on the same day, which helped raise over $38,000 that will go towards research and finding a cure. To begin the event, some Tai Chi instructors helped those participating loosen their muscles and prepare their bodies to safely walk. And College Atlantique De Massage students were on hand to provide relaxing massages to anyone pre or post walk as well. This event was more than a walk, it’s a movement to end MS.
