Walk So Kids Can Talk

Description: The Walk So Kids Can Talk at Mapleton Park was a fun and inspirational 5km walk where local participants joined thousands of others across Canada to support youth emotional well-being by raising funds for Kids Help Phone. Held on the first Sunday in May since 2002, funds raised during the Walk have allowed Kids Help Phone to keep its services available to kids across Canada 24/7. Local participants fueled up on coffee and pastries at the Mapleton Park Rotary Lodge before their walk and there were also water, juices, fruit and other healthy snacks for all to enjoy. The youngsters had a great time playing in the bouncy castle and getting their faces painted, and everyone gathered after the walk for a barbeque and cake. Kids Help Phone provides safe, private & confidential counselling either online or over the phone. For more info, call 1-800-668-6868 or visit: www.kidshelpphone.ca
